The right application of Fertilizers

The correct application of the fertilizers is very essential for the soil to benefit from the same. The fertilizer should always be applied when the soil is moist. After it is applied the soil should be watered lightly so that the fertilizer can move in to the zone of the root where it will be available to the plants. Else they may just stay on top of the soil and can be easily washed away or blown away also. The application of the fertilizers should also be done keeping the weather in mind as heavy rain can wash away the same as it is applied. The minimal amount of the fertilizer should be applied and it should be done in small and frequent methods. The application of about 2 pounds 5 times a year is a better option than the application of 5 pounds twice a year.

The fertilizer spreader should be calibrated so that the exact amount of space and the material discharged can be taken care of. The instructions for the spreader should be followed. The fertilizer spread should cover the ends of the lawns, back and forth across and all the parts of the lawn. In the first spread use of half the amount should be done. The spreader should be shut before it can reach the ends so that the over application of the same can be avoided. The other half should be applied in the back and forth application. The bags of the fertilizers should be disposed in a safe manner. The incorrect use of the fertilizers can pollute the water. They also kill some of the beneficial insects. The natural alternatives should also be used to save money and prevent these mishaps from occurring so that your garden blooms the eco friendly way.
